Summary of "Can Animals Think?"

Summary of "Can Animals Think?"

In the FYI article, "Can Animals Think?", Karen Blanchard states that many scientists have observed the intelligence of animals who can understand new situations, make decisions, and plan ahead. For example, a chimpanzee named Dandy could make plans and tricks, and a heron made and used tools. A parrot named Alex could use language to communicate with his trainer, and an octopus could watch another octopus then he could learn the behavior. A gorilla named Timmy could fall in love. In summary, many scientists believe that animals can think and behave now because many scientists have observed behavior of animals.
